KERRY: That’s terrific. But 53 percent of our children don’t graduate from high school. Kids don’t have after-school programs…
I try to keep this blog non-political, I really do. But when people say stuff like that, I need to say something. 53%??? Where is God’s name is he getting this number?? Suitably Flip proved here that 53% is an outrageous number. I looked up here that the annual dropout rate has drooped to 3.5% in 04-05. So unless Mr. Kerry is including all students in the US, even those not eligible to graduate, 53% is clearly wrong. Now, there is one more thing I’d like to say about John Kerry:
42 Senators voted against Alito’s nomination. That’s the highest number of votes against any Supreme Court nominee since Clarence Thomas in 1991.
I got this from his website. I took a look on Wikipedia and since Clarence Thomas, not including Alito, 3 Justices have been put on the Supreme Court, one being Judge Roberts, appointed by President Bush. So while this statistic may be right, it is creating a false vision that there have been many judges since Thomas in 1991, where in actuality, there have only been 4, upto and including Alito. Later!

The only reason I am witting about him now is because he is making “waves” in the news again. He is working on a new documentary:
Morgan Spurlock, the brave soul who ate nothing but McDonald’s for one month and filmed it for his documentary Super Size Me, has announced that his next project will be The Republican War of Science.
This is the man who told us nothing and won an Oscar for it. I don’t know how many of my readers saw this, but I’ve got to say it is one of the worst documentaries I have ever seen. (I haven’t seen Fahrenheit 9/11 and refuse too). Morgan eats only McDonald’s for 30 days straight to prove what people already know: It’s bad for you. He put himself through agony, got very ill and brought himself close to death to make a damn movie about how bad the food really is. That, hey, you can’t just eat McDonald’s for 30 days. Well I’ll be damned. Here’s the thing. You can’t eat just one thing/type of one thing for an extended period of time. But, let’s not go there.
Now, he is making a new documentary. One about republicans and science. His very own political documentary, in which he bought the rights to a book to produce. I find this disturbing for 2 reasons, the first is obvious. He is making a documentary based on someone else’s book/opinion/observations. This movie is not what Morgan thinks, but what Morgan agrees with and said, “Hey, I’ll make a movie about what this guy wrote.” Somehow, that shouldn’t fly with documentaries. The second reason is that this guy really isn’t an authority on science or politics.
Announcing the project, Spurlock said: “There was a time when science was respected by politicians and government officials, and when the information obtained through unbiased scientific exploration was used for the better of society. Today, all of that is being ignored, manipulated and/or used incorrectly to further political agendas. Now more than ever, we need the real answers to the big questions.”
Right….integrity, respect, blah- he wants to ‘expose the conservatives and their evil ways.’ Michael Moore wanted to do that, and where is he right now?? Morgan, maybe you should move away from documentaries and onto something more your speed. Like shoveling shit. You seem to be good at that. Later

I really try to keep this blog non-political or however you would like to put it. However, a lot of the stuff I have been reading over the last couple of days makes me want to scream. We will start with a little story I read on Capital Hill Blue
This story is no doubt a fabrication. There is no way in hell Bush called the Constitution a ‘god damned piece of paper.’ There is not nearly enough outrage for it to be true is my initial reasoning. The article makes it look like Bush just got into America, let alone office and didn’t know that there is a congress and constution or a system of checks and balances. When our writter, Doug, followed up his article with this, it became even more clear that he is just believing what he wrote out of put hatred for Bush.
And it is George W. Bush who arrogantly admitted this weekend that, yes, he authorized the National Security Agency to spy on Americans and, by God, he’ll keep doing it because he’s the President and he can do any damn thing he wants.
He hardly did it arrogantly and knows that he can’t do whatever he wants. But this guy doesn’t mention that Bush has submitted to Congress many times due to lack of support, most recently being the torture issues. Anyway, He continued to say that he wrote the story because he trusts his ‘3′ unnamed sources. This is the same guy who probably called the Swift Boat Veterans bullshit. (He does, search his site). However, it is true that Kerry was outspokenly against the war and participated in anit-america rallies while he was over there. My point is that this man shows selectiveness in what he wants to believe and he is feeding this crap to his readers. If Bush really did bad mouth the constitution and said all that, real and credible news sources would be all over it. He would probably be impeached. He did take the Presidental Oath of Office.
Well, that was pretty lengthy, but I do have more to talk about. However, for now I will give it a rest. The other 2 topics to come: Ramsey Clark and Treason, and How “Super Size Me” filmmaker Morgan Spurlock is a no talent piece of shit who shouldn’t be making documentaries. Later!

The Bush administration is backing a US Senate resolution to stop the UN in its plans to try and move some control of the Internet away from the US
Now I normally don’t post digg stories here, but this is one for discussion. The UN wants to have more control over the internet, a technology funded, created and developed by the US’ Department of Defense. I agree 100% with the administration’s decision on this, believeing we should keep control of the internet here- it’s home. The article raises good points about what might happen if China, Iran or Syria had more control over it, and I think it’s agreeable that the internet is the best example of free/true information exchange, if you know where to look.
Besides, what has the US done wrong? From what I can see, the internet is doing just fine. What does the UN want to do with teh internet?? It’s working fine and should stay as is. Later!

and Bush is the winner. I dont think it is the end of the world, or America. Far from it. I just though maybe it was time for a change. And I hate Cheney. We will see what 4 more years brings us. Right now it seems are economy is on the up and up. Oil prices are down and the stock market is going up. Im not going to dread the next four years because Bush is in office. For all we know, he could fix what he has fucked up. Plus in light that we are in the middle of a war, changing presidents may not be a good idea. So congrats to Pres. Bush on 4 more years, lets try to do some good here. Later
